“Music, when you hold us”
This could be the title of a song or an album. But this is the trajectory of Hoël Gros, born into a family of musicians. His professional career began at the age of 17. Meeting established musicians from then on, he toured with the Vikings, Pierre-Edouard Décimus (compass, beguine), La Perfecta (Latin-Caribbean music), Ermeto Pascual (improvised Brazilian music), Guy Konket (gwoka), Titus Williams (gospel )... Some discographic collaborations are also added to this journey: with Alain Jean-Marie (Caribbean jazz), Tony Chasseur, Jean-Paul Pognon (zouk), Tito Puente (Latin music), Michel Alibo (jazz fusion) and many others. others.
Subsequently, he continued to explore world music. His pronounced taste for this exercise and for improvisation led him to favor live performance, a taste that came from a rich family context where he learned, very early, to play the piano, various keyboards, the guitar, bass and some percussion. This is how he became a composer, singer-songwriter, also passing on his know-how in a playful way while sowing, here and there, his humorous drawings.
Throughout this colorful journey, he returned to his source around the 2000s to co-produce with his brothers, Patrick, Claude and Gérard, the Caribbean jazz albums: Gros Family, Uni-son, Hoël Musik. Then he continued this momentum by producing the group MSM Duo (pop rock, French song).
